Lazy River Revisited - Posted on 01/27/2008
This was shot back in early December, a couple of days before my big surprise snowfall. I had just gotten a new Canon G9, and went out for a drive to take some shots with it. I ended up down at the river, about a mile south of me. It was late afternoon, and the sunlight was coming in across the river and really lighting up the trees on the other side. I was standing pretty close to the same spot where I shot the original "Lazy River" back in July 2005. Post-processing was done using the Midnight Sepia v2 action from Action Central - a lot of great stuff there and the price is right - free!

Thanks to everyone for visiting and for your comments on the last image. I am still playing catch-up with everyone's blogs - hope to have some time this week to finally get caught up. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! -- Kim

Wonderful colors! It feels very much like a painting to me with the combination of the soft pastel of the sky and the rich earthy. Love the reflections as well.

The image has a lovely "painted" quality Kim. Don't stress yourself about catching up with other blogs Kim, otherwise it'll end up feeling more like a job and detract from the enjoyment, I'm just glad to see some new shots on your site :)
