Let It Snow... - Posted on 12/05/2007
This was taken a few hours ago, shortly before sundown. My forecast last night said there would be no more than 1/2" of snow accumulation from this storm system - they were wrong! I awoke this morning to find almost 3" of snow had fallen overnight, and it was still coming down. By the time it quit late this afternoon, there was almost 7" of the white stuff on the ground, turning the landscape into a winter wonderland.

I want to thank everyone for the wonderful comments on my previous image. I've been under the weather for the past several days, and haven't been able to visit everyone's photoblogs, a situation that I hope to remedy in the next several days. I know I've been missing out on a lot of beautiful images! -- Kim

This was a great snow. Looked wonderful on the trees.

This is very simple and beautiful. The lighting is very nice. Seven inches of snow sounds beautiful (but not for shoveling...oh, my back!). I hope you're feeling better.

Beautiful. Print it. Frame it. Hang it.

Snow is so beautiful in photos:-) Wonderful image. You'll be glad to know we finally have some trees that turned color for Autumn. I took a photo of a couple red and yellow ones yesterday. At this time of year, I'm glad I'm this far south:-)

Wonderful. We rarely get snow here, so it's a treat whenever it makes an appearance...as long as it's just for looking at and photographing rather than shovelling ;)

Reminds me of home here in PA. Lovely shot, like the framing and details of the trees. The snow of course makes everything look so clean and natural, great composition, Kim.
